Abstract

The world of hospitality to date has made much progress, therefore the need for human labor (HR) especially in the roomboy section has not done its job in accordance with that applied in SOP (Standard Operational Procedure) at
Hotel Bumi Surabaya City Resort. Standard Operating Procedure is a guideline, reference or steps used to
ensure the operational activities of an organization or company run smoothly and aim to obtain the most effective work. The writing is located at Hotel Bumi Surabaya City Resort which is a five star hotel located on Jend. BasukiRahmat St. No.106-128, Embong Kaliasin, Genteng, Surabaya City, East Java 60271, Indonesia. Data obtained directly in the location of research in the form of observations made by the author, can show that there are still some SOP (Standard Operational Procedure) that has not been applied correctly and in accordance with existing standards, so that service to guests become less optimal
