Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to know whether the accounting information system of spare parts inventory in part shop at Mega Daya Motor, PT Surabaya has gone well or not. Methods of data collection on this thesis is by conducting interviews to the personnel that working to produce spare parts documents. The result of this thesis shows that the accounting information system of spare part inventory is not as it should be. The mismatch is due to spare part handling by an improper sales force.
Where after the parts come and ready to send to the customer, the sales force just reprint the previous offer letter to be a delivery order of spare part. This is the main cause of frequent occurrence of minus items in the warehouse of spare parts.
